With Mother’s Day right around the corner, it is time to go shopping for a gift. I mean, it’s your mom. She gave you life and raised you. She deserves nothing but the best. I am going to try to make it easy for you if you have a mom that likes technology or just like gadgets that can make her life easier.

Apple Watch Series 6
I have an Apple Watch Series 2 that I absolutely love. It helps me in so many ways. I can see who is calling or texting without having to pick up my phone. When I have my phone on silent, my watch vibrates when I get a text or phone call. My watch tells me the temperature, weather, has a calendar, heart monitor, activity tracker, and of course it tells time. I feel lost without it if I happen to forget to put it on. The latest version is the Series 6. Purchase an Apple Watch Series 6 here.
Amazon Echo Show
I got an Amazon Echo Show for Christmas and I use it daily. The Echo Show is like the Echo Dot but also has a small color screen on it. I plugged it up in our kitchen. I am always asking Alexa questions. She tells me the weather and also keeps up with our grocery shopping list. I just tell Alexa to add things to our shopping list as I find we have run out of something. I am also trying to train the rest of my family to do the same. It will also play music and even show videos. There are so many things you can do with Alexa that I have written three blog posts about the family of Echos.

Rocketbook Smart Notebook
The Rocketbook Notebooks are smart notebooks that allow you to send your handwritten notes to the cloud storage of your choice. One of the newest Rocketbooks is the Rocketbook Fusion. I have both the Rocketbook Wave and the Rocketbook Everlast. Both are reusable. The Wave can be erased by putting it in the microwave with a cup of water. The Everlast can be erased with a damp cloth. Both require the use of Pilot Frixion pens to work correctly. Once you are finished with your notes, you can take a picture with the Rocketbook App and send the notes off to an email address or your favorite cloud service. One of the new features is email transcription and I find it fairly accurate. I find these very handy to use for notes taken during meetings so that the notes can be shared with those that were not able to attend. Find out more about the Rocketbook Smart Notebook here.
Amazon Kindle Paperwhite
Of all the Kindles, the Paperwhite was designed to be the closest to a regular page of paper, but better. I have had a Kindle Paperwhite for several years. I have gotten so used to it, that I prefer it over regular books. As I have gotten older, the smaller print in books is getting harder to read. I can adjust the font size on the Kindle to a size I am comfortable with. I can also read the Paperwhite at night by turning down the backlight so that I do not disturb others while I read. It has no glare if I take it with me to the beach for some relaxing summertime reading. I hear that the newest Kindle, the Oasis is supposed to be even better than the Paperwhite, but I am very happy with my Paperwhite. If your mom loves to read, I am sure she would love a Kindle Paperwhite. My mom loves hers.
Screen Mom Screen Cleaner
If your mom is anything like me, she has lots of screens. From TVs to laptops, to tablets, to phones, at some point, they will all need to be cleaned. I have tried several things and I like Screen Mom Screen Cleaner the best. Screen Mom is a safe cleaner with no heavy chemical smell that is always streak free on all my screens. I highly recommend it for cleaning all your screens.
Roku Streaming Plus Stick
Help your mom keep up with all her favorite shows. This small stick will turn any TV into a smart TV. Use the Roku Streaming Plus Stick to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and more. The Roku also has many channels with free TV viewing options. I have found the Roku to be one of the more user-friendly streaming options especially if you have a tech-challenged mom.
Blue Light Blocking Glasses
If your mom spends a lot of time in front of screens, maybe a nice pair of blue light blocking glasses would be a good gift for her. Blue light blocking glasses block the blue light from screens to help ease eye strain and help headaches and getting a good night’s sleep. You can read more about blue light blocking glasses here.
Apple AirPods
With the newer iPhones, it is either use your headphones or charge your phone, but you can’t do both. Get your mom her own set of rechargeable wireless Apple Air Pods to use with her iPhone. Or you could purchase the second generation of Apple AirPods that has more talk time, voice-activated Siri access and a new wireless charging case.
iRobot Roomba Vacuum
This is on my wishlist, but I am not sure my dog Gizmo will go for it. Get your mom an iRobot Roomba Vacuum to help with the chores around the house. I have several friends that have these and they love them. Many say that these Roomba’s clean pet hair better than a conventional vacuum.
Furbo Dog Camera
If your mom is a dog lover, she may like a Furbo Dog Camera that also dispenses treats. The Furbo has full HD video and 2-way audio so that you can see and talk to your dog. It also has bark alert and is compatible with Alexa.
